There are two main means of connecting to the network off-campus, Eduroam and VPN.
Eduroam is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. It allows Harvard students, researchers and staff visiting other institutions to access internet by simply opening up their laptop and logging into the network.
VPN is a way to securely access Harvard’s network from a secure location s a way to securely access a remote network. Harvard VPN allows eligible individuals to access HGSE resources from a non-Harvard internet source, as if they were directly connected to the campus network.
