##  The Harvard AI Sandbox 

All Harvard affiliated students, faculty, and staff have access to the Harvard AI Sandbox, a secure space for exploring generative AI while protecting privacy and meeting [University Guidelines](https://www.huit.harvard.edu/ai/guidelines). The Sandbox offers a unified interface to leading models and tools — supporting tasks like image generation, data visualization, and working with multiple files.

## Workshops

### Introduction to Generative AI

This twice‑monthly, 90‑minute Zoom workshop offers a welcoming introduction to Generative AI for the HGSE community — whether you’re a total beginner, curious but cautious, or already experimenting. All comfort levels and perspectives are encouraged, including those who are skeptical about integrating these tools into their work.

We’ll start with an overview of what generative AI is and how it fits into the broader AI and machine learning landscape. We'll discuss how these tools work, what they’re good at, and where they have clear limitations. You’ll also learn which AI tools are available to HGSE and Harvard affiliates, along with guidance for using them responsibly within University data‑security expectations.

If time allows, we’ll introduce a few basic prompting practices to help you begin experimenting with confidence. This workshop is designed to give you a solid, thoughtful starting point as you navigate the evolving world of Generative AI at HGSE.
