Systems and Infrastructure

Our team is responsible for maintaining a secure IT environment by managing servers, networking, storage, backup solutions, and print infrastructure. We oversee web and application hosting infrastructure, support critical applications for the school, and handle essential tasks such as patching, upgrades, and account maintenance to ensure seamless and reliable operations across the organization.

Identity Onboarding and Access Management

If you are new to the HGSE community, we can help you to create a new user account and grant permissions to:

  • Microsoft Exchange/Office 365
  • File shares (e.g., AD, Papercut, EMS, shared network drives, G: drive)
  • Shared mailbox access

We also manage memberships or transfer users who are no longer part of the HGSE community.

Server Infrastructure for Projects and Initiatives

For all HGSE faculty projects and departments.

  • Collaborate with HGSE faculty and research teams to identify and deliver technological solutions (servers and databases) for their respective research projects
  • Maintain the  support the Events Registration System, Papercut, server storage, and backup server solutions

Systems and Networks Maintenance

  • Perform monthly patching on all Windows and Linux servers to ensure security and compliance
  • Support HUIT projects focused on network maintenance to provide reliable services for all HGSE users

Systems include: 

  • Events Management System (EMS), HGSE campus printers, Mailing lists (Mailman), File Shares, Nextcloud
