Computing Management

The IT Service Center deploys, manages, and repairs all Dell and Apple computers deployed to HGSE faculty and staff, plus more than 150 computers placed in classrooms and available in public study areas. All HGSE-managed computers are loaded with a standard, base software configuration which includes McAfee anti-virus and anti-malware software, as well as a Kace management and inventory agent to monitor licensing and provide patching and update services. 

The public and classroom computers are installed with research software to support the HGSE curriculum. This software is available for installation on any HGSE-owned faculty computer upon request. 

Computers are deployed to eligible staff and faculty, and in HGSE classrooms, library, and public areas are replaced on a three-year replacement cycle.
