Guest & Temporary Accounts

Guest and temporary accounts provide access to restricted online resources at Harvard for the thousands of conference attendees, collaborators, colleagues at other institutions, and guests who visit Harvard  each year — physically or virtually. Guest accounts provide access only to online resources that have been specifically set up for guest access.

In order to obtain a guest or temporary account, your Harvard sponsor will request access for you and will inform you about what resources you’ve been given access to. Your sponsor or supervisor will inform you what systems or services you’ve been given access to.

You must have a sponsor or supervisor willing to attest that you have a legitimate business, research, or educational reason for obtaining an HUID. Your sponsor or supervisor must assume responsibility for the accuracy of all information.
